Hello and welcome to my home.

I'm Elisabeth Prescott Ashton, and I want to thank you for allowing me to be your host on this journey back in time to 1876.

With some help from my family and our staff, we will show you how a middle-class Victorian family lives; how we decorate our homes, entertain, and play. You will have a chance to go shopping and learn about the "proper Victorian way". And, as a special treat, you'll have the opportunity to spend a traditional Victorian Christmas with us.

We've recently added some new sections: a new section on Victorian Masculinity, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner under Queen Victoria and additional information on Victorian Shopping in the Overview Section.

My family and I hope you enjoy your stay, and that you will tell your friends about us.
