	Take out a pad and pencil and make out your gift list, what you plan to purchase and how much you expect to spend.
	Next, review your gift list to see if there are any names which can be removed.
	Compare your Christmas budget with your gift list and cut back until they match.
	If your list is a long one, consult family members and suggest that individual gifts be given to the children only.
	Another suggestion might be a grab bag. Have each family member write down their name on a piece of paper along with 2 or 3 items they would like to receive. Place all in a hat and then have a drawing. In this way, they will get items they want yet the element of surprise will still be there.
	Buy a small pocket notebook and prepare a page for each person on your list. Include clothing sizes, interests, hobbies and hints you've already received and the $ amount you plan to spend on each person.
	Set a time for you to start and finish your shopping.
