FrontPage includes a number of preset themes that you can use right away. A theme includes a background picture, page banner, bullets, navigation buttons, horizontal lines, etc. You can use standard or active graphics for the navigation buttons. The active graphic set uses animated elements, such as hover buttons instead of plain buttons on link bars. (The active graphic set requires FP web to be uploaded to server with FP extensions.)
To apply a theme:

apply a theme.

click OK.
FrontPage 2003: In the Theme task pane, point to the thumbnail for the
theme you want to apply, and then click the arrow. Click Apply as default

Theme options:
Vivid Colors: If you want to use a bright color scheme, select the Vivid
Colors.
Active Graphics: To use a lively set of banners, buttons, bullets, and
other graphical elements, select the Active graphics check box. See the
following example. Move your mouse over the buttons. The button on the left hand
is an active graphic. The button on the right hand side is not. You can see the
difference as long as your browser supports active graphics.
