Easter, in addition to being one of the most celebrated of Christian holidays, is the essence of springtime. The ground has finally thawed giving way to blooms of daffodils, crocuses, hyacinths, tulips and forsythia. The malls are abounding with shoppers seeking new outfits for the “Easter Parade”. There’s a spirit in the air of renewed hope for the future. And of course, we can’t forget the store aisles filled with Easter baskets in every size, shape and color, chocolate bunnies and jellybeans.
Did you know that Easter is the second most important event when it comes to purchasing candy next to Halloween? Nearly $1.9 billion dollars is spent on Easter candy each year. Other interesting facts:
