What is Virtual Web Hosting?

If you have contracted us to both design and maintain your web site, we offer  Virtual Web Hosting which means that you can find a home for your web site on our web servers and establish a presence on the internet. If you desire, we will help register your own domain name which will become your unique address on the World Wide Web.

Do you offer dial-up internet access?

No, we are not an ISP (internet service provider).

Do you accept international orders?

Yes, we are able to host domains all over the world provided we have full control of the design and maintenance of your site. For security reasons, we do not permit direct access to our servers to clients outside the United States and Canada.

What contract and payment terms are available?

All hosting contracts are for a period of 1 year and are payable on an annual basis.

Payment for our services is processed through Paypal on a recurring basis (billed annually unless plan cancelled in writing to us).  Payment is due prior to set-up. 

If you are not completely satisfied with our services at any time or just wish to cancel your subscription, a full refund will be given for the hosting portion only for any months remaining unused in your subscription.  (Domain or web site design costs excluded.)

How do I place an order?

To place an order, complete/submit the new account form or one of our design order forms.  Upon receipt, we will send you an email with a link to our Order page to begin the process of developing your new web site.

Are there any restrictions to the content I can host?

Yes, there is a very specific list of items which violate our Terms of Service.   Please read our TOS before signing up.

Is the site backed up and how often?

Standard backups of all accounts are done nightly.  If, in the unfortunate event, something happens to your files, we have a local copy of your files.  We are NOT held liable in any way for any files, money, time, effort, etc. lost due to an unfortunate event.  If your files are lost, we will attempt to restore them as a gesture of good faith, but we make no promises whatsoever about whether the files will be brought back successfully or not and will work with our client to get them back up and running as they were.

Does your Hosting Service handle Domain Registration ?

Yes. We can handle new registrations and renewals for you should you wish; however, we've found that many of you prefer to make these changes on your own. If this is the case, please let us know and we will provide the information needed to make the transfer. Should we encounter a hostile transfer in assisting to transfer present domain, there will be service charge of $50.00 before proceeding.

How long does it take before my domain name is active?

Once your domain name has been registered (or transferred, if applicable), it usually takes about 24-48 hours before it becomes active. All internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect new site locations. This is called propagation.

What is the InterNIC fee for domain registration ?

With the opening of competition in domain registrations, we suggest you do some internet shopping to find the most reasonable cost for you.  All charges for domain names are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise specified.

How do I cancel my account?

You may cancel your account by sending an email via our contact form.  As stated previously, any charges for unused months in your Subscription will be refunded.

What about billing and over due policies?

Accounts are given a grace period of 7 days past the billing date.  If payment not received by then, account is suspended and customer is sent an email advising them of late payment.   If payment is still unresolved 7 days after that notification, your account is removed from our servers.
